Machines, Monsters, and Madness is an Empire style game which is set in a Steampunk setting. Players each take the role of a mad scientist, each of whom has his own particular area of expertise. Options include:
Automaton Builders
Throughout history, man has looked for others to do his bidding. From the jinn to the golem, mankind has been on a quest to find the perfect servant. Now Science allows us to create these servants.
Vehicle Builders
Since the invention of the cart, we've worked on finding better ways of moving from one place to another. Science empowers us to move further, faster, and with bigger guns.
Aviators
For millennia, mankind has watched with envy the ease with which birds fly through the air. Finally, Science allows us to be like them. The power of Science even allows us to be better than them.
Monster Makers
What is life? What does it mean to be alive? Science allows us to create life. Frankenstein was merely a child playing with the forces of life. Our creations are stronger, faster, and smarter than his monster.
Rennaisance Men
We are inspired by the likes of Leonardo and Michelangelo. All other scientists have limited themselves by studying only one or two disciplines. We are masters of all disciplines. Only with a comprehensive understanding, can one master Science.
